The PGA West Nicklaus Tournament Course lives up to its designer’s reputation of challenging beauty and drama. It’s considered a true ball strikers’ golf course. New challenges come around every turn with the feature of two island greens - something that isn’t seen too often. This course is 7,204 yards long; and has a stroke rating of 75.3 and a slope rating of 143.
The Nicklaus Tournament is one of the hosts of the PGA Tour’s final round of Q-school, which features some of the best players in the world. Members nicknamed this course Nick Tourney and players say it is extremely tough off the tee and incredibly demanding at the greens. The Nick Tourney offers some of the best tests of golf in a truly magnificent setting of greenery and mountains.
The Nicklaus Tournament is one of six legendary courses at PGA West where golfers find 2,200 acres of championship courses. The resort is surrounded by a variety of single family homes and condominiums for every lifestyle. Besides the beautiful desert outdoor living, residents enjoy special night landscaping lighting. There are three private and three public courses as well as three clubhouses, tennis courts, and fitness centers.
